Gratitude on Mothers Day

GratitudeFor me, it wasn’t until I became a mother that I truly began to understand how much love my Mum has for me, the depth of commitment, and all she gave up to have me. It was a choice she willingly and lovingly made, and as much as we all joke about how hard parenting can be, and how your kids drive you insane, its both worse than you can image and so much better than you can imagine!!!

No matter what you have been through with your mum, and all the emotional attachments and experiences we have had, She will always be your mum, and she was there for you in a way that no one else ever has been, or will be again.

Love come in many disguises. Sometimes what people perceive as a hurtful or mean action was in-fact just what you needed to send you on your path. It was the shove that got you to step up and embrace parts of yourself you weren’t sure you could embody.
Love doesn’t care if it was a positive or a negative experience.
Love focuses on the outcome.

  1. Rub a drop over your heart, and throat. (To open your heart and on the throat to open your communication channels)
  2. Make a list of the benefits you recieved in your life from your mum. (150-200 benefits, because you really want to shift your perspective 1 or 2 isn’t enough).
  3. Go through the 7 areas of your life when making the list: Financial, emotional, spiritual, mental, physical, social, vocational. (When you get stick shift to a different area and keep cycling through them)
    eg: To push myself, how to bake, to value my money, to strong in my strengths, to do what is best for me, to live a more natural life style, to connect with family, etc…
  4. When do you know you have shifted your perception? When you have the “ah ha” moment and get flooded by gratitude.
