Jasmine Essential oil – Connect to the Divine Feminine

Jasmine (med size)

As a fairly new mum the one thing that I have felt out of touch with, is my own Divine Feminine power.

I have spend so long feeling exhausted, catering to everyones needs, trying to adjust to this new overwhelming world. Some days I’ve been lucky to even have a shower, so its no surprise that I have felt detached to my own femininity and sensuality.

Jasmine essential oil is an oil steeped the in tradition of enhancing sensuality and female power. Its fragrance actually triggers your brain to release a neurotransmitter called ‘encephaline’ a which acts as analgesic (pain blocker) and promotes a sense of wellbeing and even creates a feeling of euphoria. Its uplifting fragrance can help to diminish depression, counteract hopelessness, anxiety, nervous depression, indifference and instead brings feelings of confidence, optimism, warmth and trust.  It helps to ‘regulate’ your emotions and bring a feeling of warmth.

Jasmine isn’t officially an essential oil, its actually classed as an absolute as its not distilled, a solvent is used to extract the oil from the flower. It is also done in the middle of the night as Jasmine is a night blooming flower, so this makes it a very expensive oil to produce. It is also used as a base in a lot of perfumes and this increases its demand, drives up the price, and encourages some companies to cut their oil with a synthetic to make it stretch further.  So what you pay for is what you get when it comes to Jasmine essential oil.

How I like to use Jasmine Essential Oil:

Apply 1-2 drops over my heart, on my pulse points and on my solar plexus.
When I anoint myself with Jasmine I like to have a mantra to go along with it to magnify its impact on me body, mind and soul.
Put 5-8 drops in a diffuser,
Add 3-5 drops to some epsom salts and then add to my bath.
Or make this Exotic Sensual Massage Blend.

  • 4 drops of Jasmine,
  • 4 drops of Ylang ylang,
  • 4 drops sandalwood
  • 2 drop cardamon
  • to 30 mls (1 oz) of massage oil of your choice – Young Living’s V6, coconut, sweet almond, etc….

It partners very well with most oils, but I like to combine it with Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Rose.
